Volunteer

Opportunities abound for anyone wishing to volunteer their time or fundraising talents at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Each year, volunteers provide thousands of hours of valuable service to our patients, visitors and staff.

Our volunteer program is open to adults and students alike. Hours and days are flexible, and adults are only asked to donate eight hours of their time a month.

Adult Volunteers

Over 145 volunteers a month earn the heartfelt thanks and appreciation of Stanly Regional Medical Center and its patients. Won’t you join us?

Check out the opportunities below or let us know how to put your unique skills to good use. Remember, you just need to be 18 years of age or older.

Volunteer Opportunities include: 

• Information desk
• Same-Day Surgery Center registration desk
• Cheer Shop
• Outpatient Services
• Nourishment cart
• Messenger service
• Pedi-Tours
• Escorting patients to proper departments

Fundraising Opportunities include:

• Annual Winter Ball
• Purse/Jewelry sales
• Book fairs
• Spring Luncheon and entertainment

High school-age sophomores can also volunteer through our VolunTeen Program.

VolunTeen Program

Are you at least 14 years old and a sophomore in high school? If so, we have a summer volunteer program just for you!

Apply now through your high school guidance counselor for the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the healthcare field.

Information and applications are mailed to area high school counselors by April each year.
