With over 11,000 square feet, the Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center is a full-service oncology center offering radiation therapy and chemotherapy. It is a facility that is rarely seen in communities of comparable size.
Staffed by board-certified radiation and medical oncologists, the Cancer Center treats a variety of cancers and serves patients from Stanly and the surrounding counties.
Radiation treatments are administered by Southeast Radiation Oncology, the largest practice of its kind in the southeast, while chemotherapy and other medical oncology services are provided by NorthEast Oncology Associates.
Located on the east end of the medical center campus at 945 North Fifth St., the Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center opened in 2000 and underwent an expansion in 2003. The center was named for Stanly Memorial Hospital’s former president and chief executive officer.
