Occupational Health Services

Employees who have been injured are returning to work promptly and safely thanks to Stanly Regional Medical Center’s Occupational Health Services Program.

This medical center service now serves more than 60 area businesses in Stanly and Montgomery counties. The program is staffed by a medical director, physician assistants, and nursing amd clinical personnel. Together, they provide services and resources to area employers including:

Evaluation, treatment and case management of work-related injuries and illnesses.
Emergency treatment of occupational injuries or illnesses and follow-up.
Comprehensive follow-up communication with the employer and employee.
Scheduling of specialty consultations and rehabilitative services when needed.
Drug screening.
Breath alcohol testing.
DOT exams.
CAOHC-certified audiometric testing.
NIOSH-approved pulmonary function testing.
Confidential maintenance of occupational medical records.
Post-offer employment physicals.

These and other services help companies manage workers’ compensation claims and assist in notifying employers on the extent of injury and the type of duties the employee is able to perform with the injury.
