At Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly, we want to ensure that patients admitted to the hospital receive the same level of care as those visiting a physician's office. That's why we employ a staff of hospitalists to care for you during your hospital stay.
Board-certified or board-eligible physicians will provide you with timely, high-quality medical care during your hospital stay. These doctor's have strong ties with your family physician, the hospital staff and specialists.
How often will I see a hospitalist?
Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly hospitalists are always available and at the hospital 24 hours a day to see patients daily based on their needs. This provides you with quick scheduling of tests and treatment of your condition. You may see more than one physician in the hospitalist group, but all doctors are familiar with your case.
Can my family speak to the hospitalist?
Yes. Hospitalists support contact with the family, will see you daily and can discuss your care at that time. If your family is not here, the staff can schedule a separate time to meet with the hospitalist on duty.
What if I need a specialist during my hospital stay?
Your hospitalist will ask a specialist to see you if necessary. As always, your family physician will be informed of any additional consultations for your care.
How will I be billed?
Your insurance company is billed first. Any additional costs not covered by insurance will be billed to you. You will receive two bills: one from the hospital and one from Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly Hospitalists.
For questions about your bill from the hospitalist, call at (980) 323-4365.
