Visiting Hours

Access into the medical center is available through the main entrance from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Visitors may leave through this entrance until 11:30 p.m., however the Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day. View a map of our campus.

Medical-Surgical Units (Levels 3 & 4)

Open visitation.

Women's Services

New fathers and siblings may visit in maternity at any time. Open visitation is from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. This unit is locked at all times for security. Anyone requesting admittance must communicate with the nurses' station through the intercom system. Patients in observation or triage are allowed two guests at any time, patients in labor are allowed five guests at any time and three guests are allowed during a delivery. When not in a patient room, we ask that visitors remain in the lobby area.

Intensive Care

Along with support and comfort from the family, it is also important that the patient have periods of rest without stimulation. General visiting hours begin at 8 a.m. and end at 8 p.m. Visits should be limited to two people at a time. Due to patient treatments and other needs for privacy, the nurse may limit visiting and will ask the visitors to leave temporarily and wait in the waiting room. During times of emergency, the visitors will also be asked to wait in the waiting room.

The Rehabilitation Center at Stanly Regional Medical Center

Families may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friends and others may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Emergency Department and Same Day Center

Two visitors per patient are allowed in the patient care area. All other visitors are welcome to remain in the lobby. Exceptions for special circumstances may be discussed with a nurse. Due to the nature of emergency care, there may be times when visitation is not allowed or guests are asked to leave the patient care area.

Behavioral Health Services

Individuals 18 years of age or older may visit from 3:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. daily.
