There are many different ways to give. Some people give money, some give time and still others give both to support what they believe in. We are grateful to count so many generous people among our benefactors and encourage you to join us. Below are just a few of the ways you can get involved.
The Stanly Society is the Foundation’s leadership giving circle, with membership totaling more than 175 couples and individuals.
These charitable leaders donate a minimum of $10,000 over a period of 10 years to the Foundation. Their donations are at the center of the Foundation’s endowment fund, which will grow untouched in perpetuity, creating interest income that is used each year for Stanly Regional projects and programs to benefit the health of our community.
There are three levels of giving within the Stanly Society:
Charter Members ($10,000)
Sustainers ($15,000)
Visionaries ($20,000 and above)
To learn more about becoming a member of the Stanly Society, please contact Director of Development Jane Boone at (704) 984-4570 or by e-mail at jane.boone@stanly.org.
You may also contact any of the following members of the Stanly Society committee: C. B. Crook, Chairman; Jack Phillips; Nadine Bowers; Dick Smith; Steve Surratt; Eric McCauley; John Montgomery; Joe Kluttz; or Bill Mullinix.
More than 200 employees of Stanly Health Services commit their support to Stanly Regional Medical Center through membership in the Foundation’s President’s Club. President’s Club members believe in and support the need for a strong, responsive community medical center and demonstrate their commitment by donating one hour’s pay to the Foundation each month through payroll deduction.
Currently, the combined gifts to the Foundation by members of the President’s Club exceed $75,000 annually. This money is placed in the Foundation’s endowment fund to grow in perpetuity—with only the interest income used for health-related programs and projects. All gifts from employees in the President’s Club are tax-deductible.
To learn more about the President’s Club or to find out how you can join, contact Program Manager Beth Plowman at (704) 982-3888 or by e-mail at elizabeth.plowman@stanly.org.
The Forum is a unique organization involving 60 young professionals from across Stanly and surrounding counties. The members of this prestigious Foundation support group have access to outstanding monthly lunch programs featuring a broad range of health care speakers, and share in an ongoing relationship with Stanly County’s leading health care provider. The Forum was established in 1997 and has chosen each year to conduct a fundraising event. More than $300,000 has been raised thus far for community health projects.
If you are interested in more information about the Forum or how to become a member, please contact Program Director Beth Plowman at (704) 982-3888 or by e-mail at elizabeth.plowman@stanly.org.
The Legacy Society is a group of caring and visionary people who have provided for the future of Stanly Regional Medical Center through a will or a trust. There are many ways to give to the Foundation through a planned gift, most of which have extra benefits, such as added tax savings or income for the donor or his or her heirs.
The Foundation can arrange a free, confidential meeting between you and our planned giving professional advisor to explore options that can most effectively meet your financial needs.
