The Stanly Regional Medical Center Foundation was established in 1990 as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation to serve as provider and custodian of gifts and bequests for Stanly Memorial Hospital, now part of Carolina's HealthCare System. The medical professionals at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly strive to provide the finest health care available while the Foundation works to help provide the financial resources needed to adopt clinical innovations and elevate the quality of care in our community.

Contributions are not used to subsidize the medical center’s operating costs or pay staff salaries or expenses. Currently, the purpose of these funds is to continue to build an endowment to provide grants for programs and projects to improve the health of the communities served byCarolinas HealthCare System Stanly.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors that represents a variety of professions from throughout Stanly and neighboring counties. These volunteers oversee the fundraising programs, carefully manage the investment of the endowment funds and allocate funds to specific areas of need.

Visions is a newsletter designed for friends of the Stanly Regional Medical Center Foundation and provides readers with the latest information on the Foundation's events and projects.

The Stanly Regional Medical Center Foundation exists exclusively for the benefit of Stanly Health Services. Its principal purpose is to identify, solicit, record, manage and disburse gift income from the private sector to ensure the future of exceptional community-based health care.
