"A physician wanted to add on a CT scan, but the patient’s insurance required precertification. It was a Friday, his office was getting ready to close and his staff could not get anyone at the insurance company to answer the phone. The physician called me to say he needed the study done ASAP regardless of the insurance. When I went to check with Jessica regarding the insurance, she had already contacted the insurance company, explained the urgency of the situation and put the insurance company in contact with the doctor’s office. We received the pre-cert and the patient had the study with no delay! Jessica did an excellent job!!!!!!!!!!" —recognizing a member of our patient access department.
