Your customer experience is very important to us at Stanly Regional Medical Center and our affiliated organizations. We know each day we have exceptional people who work diligently to make your experience all that you desire and even more. As a result, we have created a program called STAR to identify staff members who shine brightly in caring for you. Help us recognize staff, physicians, administrators and volunteers who made your customer experience extraordinary. If you have received exemplary service from one of our employees and want to let us know, you can download our STAR Recognition form here. You may also call our customer service line at (704) 984-4389 or contact us using this response form.
A STAR is someone who inspires us and sets the highest example of standards that our organization continually tries to achieve. Below are just a few of the many stories we hear about our stellar staff.
"I just wanted to take a moment to express again how grateful we are for the care and services Stanly Regional provided us during the birth of our son. Words can not express the sincere gratitude we have felt during this time. The care I received was extraordinary. The nursing staff were so caring and loving, making me feel safe and reassured. Even though this was my second birth, I was still nervous. The nurses made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I wanted to mention a few names of those that especially made my experience wonderul; Kyla Wheeler, Andrea Lowder, Marilyn Britt, Sandra Tucker and Stacey Laney. The encouragement these ladies gave me to help me deliver an almost 10 lb baby was tremendous! I can not say enough about the care Rebecca Huneycutt provided for me either. She is a blessing! We have been so blessed by these ladies and our entire experience at Stanly! Thank you again for such excellent care!" ~Jennifer "Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks again to your wonderful staff. No one can really understand the impact that they have on a person until one is faced with uncertainty. I also wanted to take the time to share with you the love, compassion and education that I have first hand seen with Beth Huneycutt and have seen while I am receiving treatments. These women reach out to her and she can always give what they need. It is like an angel going around from person to person. They call her by name, ask questions and their eyes just light up. Beth is making such a difference in the lives of this community. I really don't know what people did without her. My life has been blessed so much by her. You are lucky to have such a wonderful lady--take care of her for me." ~Wendy "My mother was in the hospital 12 days before she passed away and the staff on 4 South was great. I have a large family and of course, we all wanted to be with Mom as much as possible. The staff all seemed to understand and didn’t mind when we were in the hall, even though they had to go around us to get their job done. All staff were there up to the end of her life to assist with any need that my family or mother might incur. I especially want to let you know that Mom’s nurse touched our heart deeply on the day she died. Brittany McGuire was on duty that day and she was constantly in and out of the room working to help and comfort Mom as she had done for several days. Her shift was over that evening but she stayed over and told a family member she would be at another location and to please call her the minute things began to change. We did as Brittany requested and she was there immediately with support for the family. Not only was she there but she offered to say a prayer with us which we gladly accepted. It was the most touching and sweetest act of kindness our family had experienced in a very long time. If I could say anything more about Brittany it would be that Mom had her own personal angel all the way. A week before my mother died, she was having a good day. Shirley LeHue knew Mom liked Elvis and she contacted Dale Burris (aka “Delvis”). Dale came to Mom’s bedside and spoke with her. Dale sang ‘Love Me Tender’ and ‘How Great Thou Art’. She even tried to sing along with him to ‘How Great Thou Art’ and afterwards tried to clap her hands for the performance. Dale asked her, “Ms. Helen, did you enjoy that?” and she said with a smile in a weak, trembling voice, “I sure did.” I truly believe she thought he was Elvis. Wow! This was another demonstration of Stanly Regional’s staff being Right There Beside You! It meant so much for a vice president to take time out of his busy schedule to do such a kind deed. It was like getting an early visit from Santa! You didn’t have to do what you did, but you did it without hesitation. My family received the outpouring of love from Stanly Regional Medical Center and we are grateful for everyone at Stanly Regional." ~Debbie
