Opportunities abound for anyone wishing to volunteer time or fundraising talents at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Each year, volunteers provide thousands of hours of valuable service to our patients, visitors and staff.
Our volunteer program is open to adults and students alike. Hours and days are flexible.
Adult volunteers need to be 18 years or older and able to donate eight hours a month of their time.
Volunteer opportunities for adults include:
- Information desk
- Same-Day Surgery Center registration desk
- Cheer Shop
- Nourishment cart
- Messenger service
Fundraising opportunities include:
- Jewelry sales
- Book fairs
- Flag sales
Stanly's VolunTeen program is open to young people who are at least 15 years old and in their sophomore year of high school or later.
The summer volunteer program gives teens the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the healthcare field. Teens can apply for the program through their high school guidance counselor. Information and applications are mailed to area high school counselors by April each year.
Stanly Regional Medical Center Auxiliary & Cheer Shop Scholarship
The Stanly Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and the Stanly Regional Medical Center Cheer Shop will be offering scholarships to Stanly County high school seniors graduating in 2013. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Auxiliary Recognition Luncheon May 17, 2013. The scholarships are valued at a minimum of $1,000 each and monies will be paid directly to the college.
